Terms & Conditions

1.Introduction

These Terms and Conditions set out the terms that apply when you use the Hopetimise.life website or enquire about, book or purchase services offered through Hopetimise.life.

Services may include counselling, psychotherapy, coaching, nature-based coaching and wellbeing activities, workshops, retreats and other related services offered from time to time.

Some services may also be subject to additional terms, agreements or professional requirements. For example, counselling and psychotherapy clients may receive a separate therapeutic agreement, and particular coaching programmes, workshops, retreats or events may have specific booking terms. Where additional terms apply, these will be made available as appropriate before or when the service is provided.

By using this website or booking a service, you agree to the terms that are applicable to that use or service.

You may use this website for lawful personal purposes, including learning about my services, making enquiries and accessing booking facilities where available.

You must not misuse the website, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it or its systems, introduce malicious or harmful material, or use its content in a way that infringes my rights or the rights of others.

Unless otherwise stated, the content on this website, including text, written materials, graphics, photographs, programme materials and other original content created for Hopetimise.life, is owned by me or used with appropriate permission and is protected by applicable intellectual property and copyright law.

7. Third-Party links and services

This website may contain links to, or integrate with, websites and services provided by third parties, including services used for bookings, appointments and payments.

Third-party websites and services operate independently from Hopetimise.life and are subject to their own terms, privacy policies and security arrangements.

I take reasonable care when selecting third-party services used in connection with my practice, but I do not control their websites, content, availability or independent data-processing practices and cannot accept responsibility for matters outside my reasonable control.

I encourage you to review the relevant terms and privacy information when using a third-party website or service.

8. Booking, payment, cancellation, rescheduling and refund

Booking and Payment

The price, payment arrangements and main details of each service will be made clear before you complete your booking. Where payment is required at the time of booking, the booking is confirmed once payment has been successfully completed. Where another payment arrangement has been agreed, the booking is confirmed in accordance with that arrangement.

Some services may be subject to additional booking terms or professional agreements. Where these apply, they will form part of the agreement for that service.

Counselling and psychotherapy appointments

Counselling and psychotherapy appointments are subject to the cancellation and rescheduling arrangements set out in the therapeutic agreement provided to you.

Missed appointments and cancellations or requests to reschedule outside the agreed notice period may be charged in accordance with that agreement.

Coaching services

The price, number and length of sessions, payment arrangements and any additional support included in a coaching service or programme will be stated as part of the relevant service information.

Cancellation, rescheduling and refund arrangements applicable to a particular coaching service will be governed by the terms provided for that service. Where a programme has already begun, any refund due will take account of services already provided and any reasonable costs or losses arising directly from the cancellation.

Walks and other events taking place on a specific date

For walks and other events taking place on a specific date, the price, date, location and applicable cancellation, transfer and refund arrangements will be provided as part of the booking information.

Where you cancel, any refund or cancellation charge will be determined in accordance with the applicable booking terms and consumer law. Any amount retained will be reasonable and proportionate to the circumstances and any loss arising directly from the cancellation.

If I cancel an event and a suitable alternative cannot be agreed, I will refund the amount you paid for the service I am unable to provide.

If I need to cancel or reschedule

If I need to cancel or reschedule an individual appointment, I will give you as much notice as reasonably possible and offer an alternative appointment where appropriate.

If I am unable to provide a service you have paid for and a suitable alternative cannot be agreed, I will refund any amount due for the part of the service that has not been provided.

Online and distance bookings

Where you book a service online, by telephone or through another form of distance communication, any statutory cancellation rights that apply to your purchase will be respected in accordance with UK consumer law.

Where a statutory cancellation period applies and you request that a service begins during that period, your cancellation rights and any payment due for services already provided will be determined in accordance with applicable consumer law.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or restricts your statutory rights as a consumer.

9. Changes to these Terms and Conditions

I may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to my services, business practices, legal or regulatory requirements, or the operation of this website.

The most recent version will be published on this website with the date on which it was last updated.

Changes to these Terms and Conditions will not retrospectively alter the terms of a service that you have already purchased or booked, unless the change is required by law or is otherwise agreed with you.

10. Privacy and data protection

I collect and process personal information in accordance with my Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection law.

My Privacy Policy explains what personal information I collect, how and why I use it, how it is stored and protected, your data protection rights, and how you can raise a data protection complaint.

The Privacy Policy is available separately on this website.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects any mandatory rights or protections you may have as a consumer under applicable law.

Any dispute will be dealt with by the courts having jurisdiction under applicable law.
